Recovery Example A

A $5B midwest-headquartered global manufacturer had retained a large global search firm to recruit the International Controller reporting to their Chief Accounting Officer.  Eighteen months later the search remained incomplete.

Access Point Partners took over the search and quickly observed that the most obvious executives in the local multi-national corporations were never contacted, despite the large firm having reported that these people were not interested.  These "target companies" were blocked at the large firm because they were either clients or companies the large firm was pursuing as a new client.

Access Point Partners completed the search in 105 days with an outstanding local candidate from one of the local multi-national companies not previously pursued.

The board Search Committe conducting the search for a new President at a leading nonprofit interviewed 30 candidates presented by two nonprofit specialty search firms during a more than two year long effort.  The Chairman of the Board, a large corporation's President, asked Access Point Partners for insight into their twice-failed search firms.
