EXECUTIVE SEARCH RECOVERY  |  Supported By AdvocacyQuadrant Methodology

Access Point Partners' executive search recovery expertise is supported by a high level of candidate research including on a prospect candidate's current employer team through our proprietary AdvocacyQuadrant tool.

By comparing our client hiring team's metrics with a candidate's present team metrics, we quickly and thoroughly bridge our client's position opportunity with a candidate's current trajectory, team caliber, and other metrics.  This assists focused attraction efforts as well as informs team interviewers of the potential team-brand assumptions by candidates about their team, from which we can fully prepare Human Resources, Hiring Manager, and Team Members' for accurate and expedient attraction and assessment.

Chief Human Resources Officers, Human Resources Business Partners, Talent Acquisition Heads, and their internal clientele hiring managers expect successful, high quality search results when retaining search firms. Delayed, stalled, and failed engagements cause internal credibility issues, wasted time and money, and leave leadership without paths to resolution.

Answers to critical questions will be required:

Why was the firm's candidate flow insufficient?

Why was the firm's candidate quality unacceptable?

Why were no candidates presented from A-caliber companies?

How did a brand-name or global search firm not deliver for us?

We don't know where the firm recruited, so who will resolve this quickly?

Access Point Partners is experienced in rescuing troubled client searches wherein organizations have engaged search firms that aren't delivering.  Stalled and failed engagements are financially and organizationally costly including lost confidence of hiring management, hiring team, and human resources leadership.

Recovery Example A

A $5B midwest-headquartered global manufacturer had retained a large global search firm to recruit the International Controller reporting to their Chief Accounting Officer.  Eighteen months later the search remained incomplete.

Access Point Partners took over the search and quickly observed that the most obvious executives in the local multi-national corporations were never contacted, despite the large firm having reported that these people were not interested.  These "target companies" were blocked at the large firm because they were either clients or companies the large firm was pursuing as a new client.

Access Point Partners completed the search in 105 days with an outstanding local candidate from one of the local multi-national companies not previously pursued.

Recovery Example B

The board Search Committe conducting the search for a new President at a leading nonprofit interviewed 30 candidates presented by two nonprofit specialty search firms during a more than two year long effort.  The Chairman of the Board, a large corporation's President, asked Access Point Partners for insight into their twice-failed search firms.

Access Point Partners assessed the circumstances and volunteered to assist.  We observed that nonprofit search firms are highly passive, posting jobs on their websites and presenting those applicants as candidates.  Our consultants conducted our corporate-process engagement and completed the search in 92 days with a finalist with credentials well above what the Search Committee had seen over more than two years.
